A year and a half went by with just a blink of an eye. I still remember the first day of college when I was actually in a Humanities class. A week later I ended up in PS3. The only people I knew there were Iza and Yi Wenn. My first impression was "Crap, this class is gonna be a difficult one for me to comprehend. Everyone looks like a f**king genius here!" And I was right, everyone of my classmates IS a freaking genius :) I even remember the first day when I came to class, Ms. Tang told me that they were about to have a test on the Projectiles topic after 3 days. I became totally shocked as I have not even studied that topic before (since I joined the class late). She told me and Chung Wye to try our best not to fail and it was then I smelled fear. So, to solve the problem, I consulted a fellow classmate, the girl genius :P and she taught me all there was to the topic. In the end, I didn't fail and was really glad. It's funny how from then onwards I began to bond with my classmates. Well, we started off with 11 people in the class with only 3 guys. It seemed like it was just yesterday.

With Yee Kan and Ms. Chian

The 3rd guy of the class, Chung Wye

The girls with Chung Wye

That was when my college life actually began. I started off with trying to bond with my classmates and now I totally love them all (not being kinky here). It's been an awesome 1.5 years with them. All the karaoke sessions after exams. A tradition almost without fail. You all are the bomb! All the dress codes we come up with even though it is rather random at times (and hey! Yee Kan actually adhered to the dress code on the last day!). The many 'study together' plans. The many phone calls or text messages I received for help on Math / Further Math / Economics. The movies together. The lunch breaks together. The many giggle, chuckles and laughs together. The many many more things we've done. I'm totally missing it even as I'm typing this very post right now. Even though we may meet during the exam period but it's never gonna be the same again. All the happy memories we've had will definitely remain with me for the rest of my life.

Despite all the stress, we certainly never fail to keep up with one another. Although we may have disputes at times, but in the end we still have each other no matter the circumstance. Here I would give you all an insight of my confession to each of my very awesome PS3 classmates.

Janice : You've been a great friend and even though you may have all your 'lame' jokes sometimes, you're still awesome and funny in a way. You're definitely gonna be successful in ICL and I definitely will be meeting you over in UK! And I'm definitely not forgetting the 2 funny things that occurred to you on the way back from CW's house :)

Wan Shin : You are always the one who cares a lot for others despite the stress you have on yourself. And not to forget, you are an awesome singer! You are truly a great friend to have. I know I'll definitely see you in London and you have to be confident of yourself! Tell yourself that you'll definitely be heading to London! :)

Elysia : Ah! A fellow US applicant :) Despite all the 'disputes' we have at times about the applications, you're still a great friend. It's always fun to be bullying you sometimes :P But no matter what, am still proud to have a friend who is going to UPenn! You're definitely gonna create wonders, girl. Go for it! PS3 power! :P

Petrina : This girl ar! Got phobia of 'ffk' :P Haha! You're a great person la, girl. All those study plans eh? You need to stop worrying about things sometimes. Be more carefree! And don't panic during exams :) You are also one awesome singer and I can't wait till I have another karaoke session with everyone again! Sad thing is, no more questions like "Hoi bin dou sek ar?"

Yi Wenn : As long as I've known you, you never fail to create humour where ever you are :P You are a REALLY awesome friend. And I'm sure you will be successful in whatever you do! You're like a super dynamic woman-to-be! And I'm still hoping that you would get into Harvard! If you do, I'm gonna ask you for a tour if I ever visit the States :P

Chung Wye : Ah, my brother in class and also the photographer. Even though I may 'zha' you at times, I don't mean it in a direct manner. Seriously, you're an awesome pal and buddy! I'll definitely miss all those funny wedgies on Adrian. Sometimes I may be annoying to keep telling you to study but I really hope to see more of my friends ending up in UK. And hey! I'm still waiting for your treat :P Haha! You're awesome la, bro.

Iza : The girl with the loudest laugh on the most minor of humours. You are also freaking funny :P I am also very sorry about the Ed Board last time, but still, you're a great person. Stop stressing yourself so much and enjoy more! I really hope to see you in LSE and definitely we will have more great plans during our course in UK! :)

Xinyi : Ah! The girl genius who defines Einstein with a camera in his eyes. I agree with Ms. Chian! Stop studying so hard! Even so, you're a great friend minus the nerding moments :P You will definitely be successful and I'll definitely see you in LSE! I look forward to more great plans in the future and let's conquer LSE! HAHA.

Felicia : The girl with the most realistic experiences :) Even though we may not talk as much in class but you're still a great person. You are definitely gonna be successful as well! All those funny plans we had last year, the t-shirts and stuff. That shows you're bound to be an entrepreneur someday :P You'll also make a great musician! Song of Unity! :)

Adrian : This fella ah! The one they call the 'Big Bear'. Seriously la bro! Stop laughing so much! Haha. You're gonna make people whack you more next time. You're also an awesome pal and another tech-savvy friend of mine! And hey! I definitely wanna see you around in LSE, you get me? Or nahaslah engkau. HAHA! Peace out, dude.

That sums up everything! But not! It's also been awesome with the dudes and the two chicks from PS1 :) Though it was a shorter time with them, I feel like we're already a family! I can't type as much anymore but all I wanna say is you PS1-ers are the bomb! All the fun we've had together just shows how close we are :) It's been great to have you all around. We will definitely rock Further Math! And I just can't get enough of the 'Ms. Tan issue' :P With you all around, the entire class has also become livelier and more happening :) You guys rock the class as well!

Besides all the above, there is just so much to put into words even with just a bonding session of 1.5 years. You peeps are totally irreplaceable! I would definitely give up everything just to relive the moments with all of you. It's also been great to be able to meet with everyone from different backgrounds in college.

It just pains me to have to let this all go so soon. It feels like it was just yesterday that I was there, sitting in the front seat of eVIII. I have definitely gotten to know lots of people in college. All the awesome people although there were some weird ones :P It certainly feels hard to have to change into a different environment in life again. Life in TCSH was also fun accompanied by stress. The funny moments I have whenever I visit the front desk to talk to the staff. The funny chatter and how I always see Mr. Rahul tease Kavitha. Our beloved MUN, the one club that I devoted to in college during the previous year. Words just can't express how I feel towards the entire moment of pursuit in A Level. All these memories will definitely have a mark on my heart and I'll bring it with me for as long as I live.

As much as I would like to enlighten you on my feelings right now, I can't bare the feeling of reminiscence, nostalgia and sorrow. You will definitely hear from me again someday. After a month and 2 weeks from now. As a final say to the post, all the best to all you A Level pursuers. It's time for us to make a mark on this world....

Is that a raindrop in my eye?

Spring Blockbusters and Farewells

This week was rather a happening week as there were 2 awesome movies released! Both with Man 2. But, rather sad that Chung Wye and I were the only 2 who ended up watching. Some couldn't attend due to last minute changes in some schedules while the rest were trying to play goodie-two-shoes by studying / not skipping class and guess what! Only one person attended our math class. Well, today's post is not gonna be that long as I am rather tired and not so inspired to blog today.

In another week or so, I'll finally be done with Taylor's and it will all be down to the CIE A Level. The stress and strain on the brain has been rather abnormal for the past few days. So, speaking of farewells to Taylor's, I would leave that for next Friday. All I want to say here is just that GO F**KING CATCH IP MAN 2 AND IRONMAN 2 BEFORE THE EXAMS! You won't regret it :)

Hope this doesn't happen!

The Guardian Angel

Have you ever wondered how in some events, miracles can actually happen? For instance, recently, a good friend of mine just happened to be involved in quite a terrible car crash. Amazingly, there wasn't any serious injuries on him aside from some muscle injuries. If you would have seen how badly damaged the car was, you would be saying that it's a miracle he's still alive and kickin'.

Sometimes, there are things that even science can't possibly explain. Someone may be suffering from a severe disease but suddenly, the following day, the disease disappears! Things like this seem to be out of the boundaries of scientific explanations. Science ain't everything after all, eh?

To me, there is a very important element in every person known as 'Faith' as well. 'Faith' has been the motivation for many people to keep on believing on many many things. Be it their own success or even religious purposes. 'Faith' is also a very strong word. A strong sense of belief. A principle. A will.

I also find that we are all protected by our very own guardian angels. Although I may not be able to see 'him', I can almost feel his presence. Like how at times of sorrow, there always is a certain warmth around you trying to remind you of all the happy things you have gone through in life. Or even at times of disaster, you could have been saved. But it all depends on the deeds that a person has done in his or her entire life. The more good deeds you've done, the more likely it is that you have one particular invisible being right beside protecting you. If you are thinking this is preposterous, it's all up to your 'Faith'. I am very confident that I have a guardian angel protecting me and guiding me. I know deep down inside, this angel would be there keeping all those people around me safe as well. Thus, I thank thee, Guardian Angel for all that you've done :)

So, do you have 'Faith'?

Once Again, It All Begins

Once again, it all begins. After a long week of rest, I guess it is time to start work again. But looking on the brighter side of things, in just 2 months worth of time, my life in Taylor's will officially end leaving me some room for freedom for at least 3 months. But even so, that 3 months will be utilized to complete many processes and I shouldn't bore you by disclosing it here, should I? :)

I guess after nearly a year and a half, life in college would end and it is finally time to ascend to the tertiary level. Sometimes it makes me wonder if life in universities would be of a big change. A lot have said yes but there are also those who said no. I guess first-hand experience would answer my doubts. Just a bit of update on my plans here. I would most likely be heading to London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and will be pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science. I know it's tough, but it's what I like most out of MANY courses related to Math. The course would cost me around 3 years.

Life in Taylor's has been great meeting many new funny, weird and wacky people. Although I may not be close to EVERYONE, it's been a great time getting to know these people. It has also taught me a lot about peoples' personalities. There may be people who are such introverts and there may also be people who are extreme extroverts. There may be annoying people and there may also be nice people. Overall, it is rather diverse and as everyone knows, the element of freedom in college is very much more dense compared to high school.

It certainly hits me as the end of college is creeping up close and I really do hope that even with such short duration of getting to know amazing people, it wouldn't be difficult to still stay in contact with one another. Speaking of which, it's time for me to get prepared for another battle that begins tomorrow! Time for me to go! Take care, fellow readers.

P.S : The picture is meant for the bunny, not for the words beside it :)
P.S.S : Follow me on Twitter if you have one, by clicking here.

Making Choices

I'm sure everyone's been in a dilemma of making choices before. Sometimes, life just requires us to make the decisions that we may never know the outcome of if it were to be the other path that we have chosen. There is no trial and error here like how math can work in certain ways. As you get older, the decisions that you have to make tend to be with more impact. It might even be a life or death situation. This is where a rational thought would come in. Weighing the good and bad of the predicted consequences. Like as shown in the picture, one path lighted by sunlight while the other path seems to be more gloomy covered with trees. Which would you take? You will definitely ponder on the conditions of the road, the danger etc. Making decisions is the same. This post is serving only to remind every reader on how important it is to think before you act no matter how short the time for thought may be. So, think twice before deciding on something! There is never a decision which would be beneficial for all. There's always a trade-off. So, have you made any wise decisions today?

Moment of Recuperation

Ahhh... I guess the little yellow friend that we have up here defines how I feel today. Finally a week-long break after that round of struggle and wrestle. I haven't been getting enough sleep lately. It's like I only sleep for 5 hours every day! Most of the time I would just fall asleep when I'm online. Amazing, isn't it? But, during the week of stress, I actually came up with a mini list of things most of us homo sapiens can't live without, which are inclusive of but not limited to :

1. And why is that? The reason is very simple and clear.
Once upon a time, there was this little petite lady who came across this simple room filled with table and chairs occupied by teenagers.. Okay, cut the crap, there's no point in telling fairytales. So, yeah, we have this petite lady for our Physics teacher. I'm here not to fire up about her but about her ways of teaching. Overall, she's a nice lady, capable of telling jokes (although lame at times) and I don't deny that she has her physics knowledge. The problem is in the way she delivers or channels her knowledge into our heads. Thus far, she's always tried to teach in a very detailed manner, even bringing in extra information for our understanding, trying to find videos, putting up past year questions to let us attempt but there is a very major problem in her class. WHERE THE HELL ARE OUR NOTES?! She actually expects us to write down every single detail from her powerpoint slides and that actually depicts us of the time we have left for progressing with our chapters at hand!
The main point I have here is that, we have NOT finished with our syllabus. And our exam is like in a few days time. Sigh, I see no point in continuing this meaningless rant any further. All I have to do now is rely on myself. God, please help me course through this very big obstacle which is nearer ahead than you think..

WHAT SHOULD I DO?!

You know.. I'm gonna fail!". I guess you already caught the glimpse of it :) So, just in case I do not update my blog for a while, fear not, it will only be a short hiatus. Anyway, here are a few tips to you people who would be facing the proclaimed phenomenon :

1) Do not study your brains out. It will cause you to be less productive.
2) Eat well and sleep well. It takes a healthy body to have a sound mind.
3) Stop trying to read the book as though it's a bible. Study the smart way by attempting questions and trying to understand the topic.
4) Start consulting your lecturers if you do not understand a certain question / topic. Better not be at the eleventh hour or you're gonna get lectured instead!
5) Do not skip classes! This is very common but it doesn't help as your lecturers might have tips.
6) Last but not least. Stay calm during exam! :)

Those are the tips! Hope you'll find it useful and all the best to you people! Aim for the As! :)

じゃまた！

Moment of Truth

Soon to come... Sea levels are rising, earthquakes are everywhere, as well as tidal waves. Are you not depressed that many people are dying in this very world today? You could be sitting on your chair or lying down on your bed having the air conditioner turned on complaining about how bad your day has been on Facebook, Twitter etc. But none of us has ever thought about the comfort and love we've been given by any close entities be it family, friends or even God himself. Do you not feel ashamed? It's about time we start to make things right. The way things should be. We should also ensure that the world would be a better place for our children without having them to worry about what disasters were to come tomorrow.

So, basically, this post is about our Earth. Or maybe you would just gape. Or even... Okay, let's stop at that shall we? Anyway, trials are coming up, and being a Further Mathematics student, it explains all about my time being devoured. I'm sure you all would be saying that I'm such a nerd and a geek being all so math-sy and stuff. Mind you, I do not deny the fact that I love math but I am definitely not one to be classified as a social outcast.

But what makes math so interesting? Well, our lives just revolves around numbers. Everything in our life is related to numbers. And I can tell you, EVERY single movement we do is related to numbers. For instance, time. The purpose of this post today is just to enlighten you on the wonders of math. Although many of you may find it sleepy and hypnotizing to read about math, bear with me. Math has been a fundamental of life. You see, every single day, you think about how to manage your time. You complain about not having enough time. How do you know that you do not have enough time if you can't measure it? And that's where math sets in. The wonders of math has never been limited. Some even say that math can create magic and miracles. Even in gambling, if you have been a professional mathematician, I'm sure you will be able to collect quite a sum of money from winning. But what makes everyone hate the subject so much? It's because of it being such a monotone kind of subject. Why don't the lecturers try make math more interesting by showing us application of mathematical knowledge in daily life? Or maybe, show us magic :) So, I'll let you ponder and wonder on how has math changed your life. (I'm sure most you would find that math has given you more problems hahaha) But, being as math-sy a person as I am, this is one book I would never ever read :

WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND WOULD WANNA HAVE MATH INVOLVED DURING SEX?!

じゃまた！

The Big Sneeze

It now officially marks the 2nd day that I've been on with this flu. If I had it a few months back, people would be thinking that I've got swine flu or something. Well, if it goes on for another day, I'm gonna go visit the doc. Sucks to have your eyes hurting when you have a bad flu :(

Anyway, have you ever wondered what would the world be like after it ended? Or what would you want to do if the world ends tomorrow? The hype about the world ending on 31 Dec 2012 has caused the concern of many people these days. Apparently, it was predicted in some Mayan legend that the apocalypse will arrive that day. The question is, how will the world end according to the legend? Does it actually mean the world going KABOOMZ! or does it actually mean that there will be a revolutionary change? I am very sure that this has not appeared in most people's minds. 'End of the world' just states a literal meaning of the phrase without actually showing us what it truly portrays. Different people may have different perspectives towards its meaning. So, how are we sure that we would all die on that day? We are still uncertain but all we can do is wait as it ticks closer by the second. Speaking of what would I want to do if the world ends tomorrow? Now that should be a secret, shouldn't it? :)

WORD OF THE DAY : INFLATION

Meaning : Cutting the money in half without damaging the paper.

So, cheerios people!

じゃまた！

Officially the First Post

Waking up late has never been good. Thanks to waking up at 3.30PM today, I'm having some kind of migraine. It's like, the more I work my head, the more pain it feels. So, it's kinda preventing me from studying. (Yeah yeah, I'm a nerd, can? :( )

But there isn't a choice for any student in the world if you are having your trial exams in like less than a month's time, and before you know it, POOF! It appears right at your face.

Okay, I'm gonna save rants for later. Time to go get some rest on my very comfortable satin divan bed :)

じゃまた！

Return of the V

Hey fellow hotties,

As you can see from the title, I'm back to business, baby! As much as I would like to, I seriously have got no inspiration on how to start off this freaking new blog, so I'll keep it short! :) Check more often and give me some inspiration!

P.S : The pictures above for the layout are pictures of famous places in Singapore.
